Leaves

All join hands and circle round
While we watch the leaves fall down
See them twirling to the ground
See them dancing all around
See them skipping here and there
See them flipping in the air
Autumn leaves so peacefully
Falling, falling from the tree

The wind

Come little leaves, said the wind one day
Come over the meadow with me and play
Put on your dresses of red and gold
For summer is gone and nights grow cold

Frolic

The leaves had a wonderful frolic
They danced to the wind's loud song
They whirled and they floated
They circled and flew along
The moon saw the little leaves dancing
Each looked like a small brown bird
The man in the moon smiled and listened
And this is the song he heard:
The north wind is calling and calling
And we must whirl round and round
And then, when our dancing is ended
We'll make a warm quilt for the ground

The Scarecrow

The scarecrow stands
With hanging hands
Beside the farmer's stile
He scares the jay and crow away
With just a painted smile!

That's why

Fall is exciting
It's apples and cider
It's an airborne spider
It's pumpkins in bins
It's burrs on dog's chins
It's wind blowing leaves
It's chilly red knees
It's nuts on the ground
It's a crisp dry sound
It's green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning
It's clouds in the sky
It's fall. That's why...
I love fall!

Down

Down, down
Yellow and brown
Leaves are falling
On the ground
Red leaves flutter
Orange ones fall
Brown leaves gather
Along the wall

Colored leaves

The leaves are green, the nuts are brown
They hang so high they won't come down
Leave them alone till frosty weather
Then they will all come down together
Autumn winds begin to blow
Colored leaves fall fast and slow
Twirling, whirling all around
'Til al last, they touch the ground

October fun

October leaves are lovely
They rustle when I run
Sometimes I make a heap
And jump in them for fun
Autumn leaves float quietly down
And form a carpet on the ground
But when those leaves are stepped upon
Listen for the crackling sound!

The tree song

Listening to the trees' song
As the wind comes rustling through
May autumn's lovely magic
Bring happiness to you
