Step in
Step into my garden
Step in and you'll see
A measure of peace
And tranquility
It's the sweet scent of roses
The buzz of the bees
The sweet song of birds
As they sing in the trees
Run your toes through the grass
Beneath a canopy of trees
Hear the rustle of leaves
As they blow in the breeze
Let the beauty of Summer
Fill your soul with great peace
Take it with you and share it
With each one you meet.
That's Summer
Summer brings us nice warm sun
For swimming, fishing, and lots of fun
Down at the seashore, isn't it grand
Wiggling my toes in the soft warm sand
Holding up a seashell tightly to my ear
It's telling me a secret that only I can hear
So let's go to the beach, to swim and run
Building castles in the sand is ever so much fun!
Night Itch
Mosquito is out
It's the end of the day
She's humming and hunting
Her evening away
Buzzing softly in the night
Then zooming in to take a bite
I think it's quite mean
Doing something like that
So I raised my right hand
And I swatted her flat.
Hot
In the Summer when it's hot
I like to find a shady spot
And hardly move a single bit
And sit, and sit, and sit...
Summertime
See the shining sun
See us play and run
Summertime, oh, summertime
We are having fun
Watch us as we play
We laugh and run all day
Summertime, oh, summertime
Please do not go away.
Ants
Ants are always busy
They hurry here and there
You never see one sleeping
Or sitting in a chair.
Summer
The earth is warm, the sun ablaze
It is a time of carefree days
And bees abuzz that change no pass
May see me snoozing in the grass.
Signs of Summer
Summer sun in the sky
Shining, shining up so high
Makes it warm for outside fun
To play at the park and run
To swim, hike, and fish
And go on a picnic, if you wish!
